Revere sets 6% fabrication price increase

NEW YORK — Revere Copper Products Inc. will increase its fabrication prices by 6 percent on all copper and copper alloy products effective with new orders July 1.

"The increase is required to offset very challenging conditions brought on by rising costs of labor, health care, utilities, transportation, supplies and services at our Rome, N.Y., plant," the company said May 15.

The move follows similar increases of 6 percent by Louisville, Ky.-based Olin Brass Inc., a subsidiary of Global Brass & Copper Holdings Inc., at the start of the month (amm.com, May 1) and Buffalo, N.Y.-based Aurubis Buffalo Inc. at the end of April (amm.com, April 23).
