China’s daily crude steel output up again in early May

SHANGHAI — China’s daily crude steel output for the first 10 days of May reached 2.193 million tonnes, beating the daily record for April.

The early-May figure represents an increase of 3 percent from 2.129 million tonnes per day in late April, according to the China Iron and Steel Association (Cisa).

Cisa members saw their output increase 2.7 percent during the period to 1.748 million tonnes per day.
