Due to a reporting error, a story posted to AMM's website May 20 incorrectly stated the cost of shipping crude oil by rail and pipeline. According to C. Michael Palmer, senior vice president of supply, distribution and planning at Marathon Petroleum Corp., it costs $16 to $17 per barrel to rail crude to Philadelphia from North Dakota and will cost an estimated $8 per barrel to move it by pipeline.
