NEW YORK — The U.S. International Trade Commission affirmed June 7 that there is reasonable indication that imports of prestressed concrete steel rail tie wire from China, Mexico and Thailand could cause injury to the domestic industry.

The Commerce Department will now conduct an investigation and issue a preliminary anti-dumping duty determination by Sept. 30.

The petitioners are Davis Wire Corp. and Insteel Wire Products Co.
