CHICAGO — Marmon/Keystone LLC has broken ground for a metals service center in McConnellsburg, Pa.

The new facility, scheduled to open by September, will replace a service center the company has operated out of leased warehouse space since 2004.

"The new facility will be 25-percent larger than our current space, which will allow us to handle material in a more efficient manner," Lou Grenci, vice president for the northeastern region, said in a statement. "The extra space will also provide the opportunity to increase our capabilities, enabling us to take on additional business."

The Butler, Pa.-based company opened a service center in Nashville, Tenn., last month (, May 8), and its Canadian arm opened a warehouse in Quebec City, Quebec, in April (, April 2).
