Universal’s NY plant Nadcap accredited

NEW YORK — Universal Stainless & Alloy Products Inc. has attained heat-treat accreditation at its Dunkirk, N.Y., specialty steel facility from the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (Nadcap).

"This is the fifth Nadcap accreditation that we have earned in the past six months and it represents a further critical step in our move to premium alloys and more technologically advanced products," Universal Stainless sales and marketing vice president Chris Zimmer said in a statement. "Meeting the highest standards is at the core of our commitment to more fully serve our targeted markets, led by aerospace."

The company recently attained Nadcap heat-treat accreditation at its Bridgeville, Pa., facility (, May 13) and at North Jackson, Ohio (, Feb. 21).
