NEW YORK — Hudbay Minerals Inc. has closed the $150-million offering of senior unsecured notes that will be used to fund mining ventures in Canada and Peru.

The Toronto-based company announced June 20 that it had completed the offering, which will be used to fund its Lalor and Reed copper projects in Manitoba and its Constancia copper project in Peru. The notes, offered June 11, were priced at 102 percent of the aggregate principal amount, for proceeds of $153 million, that will yield 9.11 percent to maturity (amm.com, June 11).

Hudbay also issued $500 million in unsecured notes in September to support its mining projects (amm.com, Sept. 7).
