ArcelorMittal Dofasco Inc. has raised base prices on its
flat-rolled steel products for all new spot orders by Canadian
$20 ($19.10) per net ton effective immediately, citing
devaluation of the Canadian dollar.
The company will
maintain price extras published in its online product and price
list, it said in an internal memo dated June 25.
Other mills are
expected to follow, sources said.
Hamilton, Ontario-based ArcelorMittal Dofasco is part of the
Flat Carbon Americas unit of ArcelorMittal SA, Luxembourg.
