Executive shuffle at AMG vanadium, mining divisions

NEW YORK — AMG Vanadium Inc. has appointed Mitchell Kidd president, and former president Hoy Frakes Jr. has assumed the presidency of AMG Mining, another division of AMG Advanced Metallurgical Group NV.

Kidd joins AMG Vanadium from Lisle, Ill.-based Navistar Inc., where he was general manager of casting operations. He previously held executive leadership roles at Phillipsburg, N.J.-based Atlantic States Cast Iron Pipe Co. and Lisle-based Griffin Pipe Products Co. Inc.

Frakes served for 12 years at the helm of Cambridge, Ohio-based AMG Vanadium.

Jane Neal will continue in her role as senior vice president of AMG Vanadium, where she will have direct oversight and leadership responsibilities for all staff support functions, including sourcing, human resources, engineering, safety, and energy and asset management.
