NEW YORK — High-strength rebar company MMFX Steel Corp. of America has hired Jeff Girard to the role of regional sales manager for Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin and Ohio as it takes aim at the Midwest market, the company said June 27.

Girard most recently worked as a corporate sales engineer for Davis Wire in California. He previously worked as regional sales manager at U.S. Bridge, a national steel truss bridge manufacturer, and as the national specifications director for NDS Inc. in Los Angeles.

"Jeff adds a key dynamic to the sales team, as MMFX grows with the rise in demand for products that increase life cycles of infrastructure," Kevin Bates, vice president of sales and marketing, said in a statement. "Jeff represents another step forward in growing local support for our products and will help us serve more customers as we expand into new territories."

MMFX sells high-strength, corrosion-resistant rebar in North and South America and the Middle East.
