Broner names global sales head

CHICAGO — Broner Metals Solutions Ltd., a developer of software for metals supply chain planning, has named Mark Ferguson as global director of sales.

Ferguson, who previously sold industrial software at SAP AG and Aspen Technology Inc., will oversee Broner’s growth in "new technical sales support and business development around the world," the Watford, England-based company said.

Broner’s solutions help metals producers improve customer service and productivity while reducing costs, it said. Customers include ArcelorMittal SA, Gerdau SA, Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corp., Norandal USA Inc., Tata Steel Ltd., OAO TMK, ThyssenKrupp AG and Usinas Siderúrgicas de Minas Gerais SA.
