NEW YORK David
J. Joseph Co. (DJJ) and Medima LLC purchased a combined total
of 1.12 million pounds of low-carbon ferrochrome from DLA
Strategic Materials for $1.36 million in June.
The Fort Belvoir,
Va.-based agency had offered up to 840,000 pounds of
0.13-percent-carbon ferrochrome and 840,000 pounds of
0.15-percent material at its Point Pleasant, W.Va., depot (
amm.com, June 18).
No sales were recorded
for the 1,148 short tons of high-carbon ferrochrome or 3,100
short tons of high-carbon ferromanganese also offered by the
DLA in June (
amm.com, June 11).
Cincinnati-based DJJ and Clarence, N.Y.-based Medima also
purchased ferrochrome from the DLA in January (
amm.com, Feb. 6).
