LONDON — The trading arm of DCM Decometal GmbH is being acquired by American Metals & Coal International Inc., a subsidiary of AMCI Holding in the Netherlands.

The trading unit will operate as AMCI Marketing and will be led by managing director Barry Gidwani, co-managing director of DCM Decometal.

The unit will increase its portfolio in raw materials and will focus on manganese.

The deal was signed July 10 and is expected to close at the end of the month.

The value of the deal was not disclosed.

AMCI operates in various sectors including coal and coke mining and shipping lines.

The company declined to comment on the deal but is expected to make an announcement when the deal closes.

DCM announced in September that it was offloading noncore assets.

It sold its Albanian Chrome operation to private finance group Balfin Finance Investment Group in January (amm.com, Jan. 4).
