U.S. Steel names Hathaway general manager

NEW YORK — U.S. Steel Corp. has promoted David Hathaway to general manager, engineering projects.

Hathaway will be responsible for engineering projects at all North American facilities for the Pittsburgh-based steelmaker.

He was previously project manager for the new continuous annealing line at U.S. Steel’s Leipsic, Ohio-based Pro-Tec Coating Co. joint venture with Japan’s Kobe Steel Ltd.

The line was recently commissioned (amm.com, May 13).
