CHICAGO — Auto parts manufacturer ZYNP International Corp. plans to expand its operations and add a new research and development center in Romulus, Mich.

The project will generate up to $9.5 million in new private investment and 51 new jobs, according to the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, which approved incentives for the project.

"ZYNP International is a world leader in automotive products, and this expansion and new R&D center in Romulus will further strengthen its Michigan presence," Gov. Rick Snyder said in a statement.

ZYNP International manufactures steel-intensive cylinder liners for gasoline and diesel engines and provides end-to-end supply chain management for Tier II auto suppliers, including manufacturing/operations, logistics, procurement/sourcing and warehousing.
