NEW YORK — Allegheny Technologies Inc. (ATI) has named Patrick J. DeCourcy as interim chief financial officer effective immediately following the departure of Dale G. Reid.
Reid retired as executive vice president of finance and chief financial officer for personal reasons, the company said. DeCourcy, who serves as senior director of strategic projects and business integration, will report to ATI chairman, president and chief executive officer Richard J. Harshman.

The Pittsburgh-based company said it will conduct a search for a permanent chief financial officer.

“Recently, [DeCourcy] has been providing assistance to ATI’s executive management with strategic projects, including the integration of ATI Ladish and the company’s flat-rolled products segment hot-rolling and processing facility strategic investment,” Harshman said in a statement.

DeCourcy began his career at ATI Allegheny Ludlum in 1988 and held various finance leadership positions, including controller. Prior to joining ATI, he worked in the audit division of Ernst & Young LLP.

Reid was appointed chief financial officer in August 2010 (, Aug. 2, 2010).
