NEW YORK Hanna
Steel Corp. and American Tube Manufacturing Inc. have followed
a $30-per-ton hike on hollow structural sections (HSS) launched
by Atlas Tube Inc., a subsidiary of Chicago-based JMC Steel
Group Inc., late last week.
American Tubes hike went into effect July 22 while
Hoover, Ala.-based Hannas increase will be effective at
the end of the day July 26. Both companies said in letters to
customers that orders for shipment through Aug. 16 will be
