NEW YORK — AK Steel Corp. has increased its minimum base prices for all carbon flat-rolled steel by $25 per ton effective immediately, it said July 25.

Hot-rolled coil is pegged at $675 per ton ($33.75 per hundredweight), cold-rolled coil is $775 per ton ($38.75 per cwt) and hot-dipped galvanized is $795 per ton ($39.75 per cwt).

The increase by the West Chester, Ohio-based company follows Severstal North America Inc.’s leading move earlier this week (amm.com, July 23).
