SHANGHAI — China’s crude steel output rebounded to 2.13 million tonnes per day in mid-July on the back of higher prices, up 2.3 percent from 2.083 million tonnes per day in the first 10 days of July, according to estimates from the China Iron and Steel Association.

Cisa members’ output also rose 1.6 percent to 1.72 million tonnes per day in the same comparison.

Market players expect crude steel output in late July to rise further, increasing pressure on the market.
