Nucor Corp. is leaving its raw material surcharge for special
bar quality (SBQ) products unchanged in September at $12 per
hundredweight ($240 per ton).
The surcharge is based
on the AMM consumer buying price for No. 1 busheling,
which was $410 per ton.
Alloy extras for molybdenum, nickel, chrome, vanadium and
manganese also will remain unchanged, the Charlotte, N.C.-based
steelmaker said in an Aug. 9 letter to customers.
