Firefighters and employees at Sims Metal Management Ltd.s
recycling facility in Jersey City, N.J., spent all night
fighting a massive scrap fire that started at about 10 p.m.
The fire started in a
stockpile receiving area for the shredder at the companys
Claremont Terminal facility, according to Sims. Firefighters
used a fireboat on the Upper New York Harbor to help battle the
