NEW YORK Lebanon, Ohio-based George Steel Fabricating Inc. will invest $1 million to add more than 8,000 square feet of office space to expand its estimating/project staff and increase volumes as the local economy improves, president and chief executive officer John George told AMM. "Basically, the economy is getting better and the job market is getting better for us," George said.
George attributed part of the companys growth to fewer competitors in the Ohio market following the recession. "I think things have thinned out a little bit; unfortunately some fabricators have gone by the wayside."
George expects the expansion to be completed in October and to increase the companys output by 10 to 20 percent.
