CHICAGO — Ted Riddle has left Aluminum Shapes LLC and Signature Aluminum Canada Inc., where he had served as chief executive officer, chief operating officer and president since September 2010, according to his profile on social networking site LinkedIn.

Riddle left Delair, N.J.-based Aluminum Shapes and Pickering, Ontario-based Signature Aluminum in April, according to his LinkedIn profile.

The move comes after Global Aluminum (USA) Inc., Walnut, Calif., late last year bought Aluminum Shapes and Signature Aluminum Canada instead of building its own casting operations. Riddle at the time had been kept on as chief executive officer of both companies (amm.com, Dec. 7).

AMM couldn’t locate contact information for Riddle, whose LinkedIn page indicates that he resides in the Knoxville, Tenn., area and remains involved in metals and mining.

Christopher Trezise, chief technology officer at Chinese aluminum profiles company LiaoNing ZhongWang Group Co. Ltd., answered Riddle’s phone Sept. 12 but told AMM he was unable to speak about Riddle’s departure. He referred questions to Global Aluminum chief executive officer Johnson Shao, who didn’t respond to requests for comment.

LiaoNing ZhongWang is Global Aluminum’s parent company, Trezise said.
