PITTSBURGH — A North Carolina county court has dismissed charges against Gregory Brown, owner of Raleigh Metal Recycling, related to alleged violations of a state secondary metals recycling law.

Brown told AMM he is glad the matter is behind him. "After discussions with the Wake County District Attorney’s office, our commitment and investments became understood and we are pleased that 100 percent of all charges have been dismissed," he said.

The court noted that remedial efforts had been taken to correct the issue, which involved photographs in required record-keeping ( amm.com, May 15).

Brown said he has invested more than $300,000 in ATMs that take photos, software, cameras and other security systems at Raleigh Metal Recycling and Goldsboro Metal Recycling in Goldsboro, N.C., which "allowed us to not only to conform to all North Carolina laws but surpass the requirements."
