SINGAPORE — Garry Jones will take on his new role as the London Metal Exchange’s new chief executive officer Sept. 30, Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd. (HKEx) said, noting that U.K.’s Financial Conduct Authority has no objection to the appointment.

Jones will succeed Martin Abbott as the LME’s chief executive and director and will become HKEx’s co-head of global markets and a member of HKEx’s management committee, HKEx said Sept. 23.
