NEW YORK — Hyundai Hysco Co. Ltd. and Nexteel Co. Ltd. have been selected as the mandatory respondents for South Korea in an anti-dumping case filed by the domestic industry against the country’s oil country tubular goods (OCTG) producers, AMM has learned.

Several other South Korean producers have also applied to be voluntary respondents ( amm.com, Sept. 19), including Husteel Co. Ltd., although no decision has reportedly been made.

Hyundai and Nexteel asked to be mandatory respondents based on their shipping volumes to the United States.

The case was filed against nine countries in early July, with South Korea comprising almost half of the volumes in 2012 ( amm.com, July 2).
