CHICAGO — MetoKote Corp. has installed a powder-coating system at its Peru, Ill., facility to provide additional choices for customers seeking electrocoating and powder coating on their metal products, the company said.

The new line can accommodate parts up to 36 inches wide, 72 inches tall and 72 inches long weighing up to 500 pounds. It sits in a closed room to ensure ideal temperatures for powder application and to control environmental contaminates.

"We installed this new powder line because of the demand from our customers," MetoKote sales manager Donald Whitt said in a statement Sept. 25.

Lima, Ohio-based MetoKote’s Peru facility opened in 1992 and also operates an electrocoating line that handles parts up to 10,000 pounds.
