ITA sets subsidy rates on wire rod from Brazil

NEW YORK — In the final results of an expedited second sunset review, the Commerce Department ’s International Trade Administration (ITA) has found that revocation of a countervailing duty order on carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod from Brazil would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of countervailable subsidies, and set final subsidy rates of 6.74 percent for Cia. Siderurgica Belgo-Mineira, 2.31 percent for Gerdau SA and 4.53 percent for all others. The petitioners included ArcelorMittal USA LLC, Cascade Steel Rolling Mills Inc., Evraz Rocky Mountain Steel, Gerdau Ameristeel U.S. Inc., Keystone Consolidated Industries Inc. and Nucor Corp.
