Pa. steel fabricator expanding

CHICAGO — Structural steel fabricator JGM Welding & Fabricating Services Inc. is expanding its operations in Pennsylvania.

Downington, Pa.-based JGM will lease a 75,000-square-foot facility in nearby Coatesville, Pa., and likely will spend more than $2.5 million on infrastructure improvements, equipment and employee training costs.

The company fabricates and erects structural steel for commercial and industrial projects, including oil and natural gas, mining and power and government and institutional facilities. It also performs specialized rigging and transportation services to these markets.

JGM has received pledges for development grants, job creation tax credits, a training grant and a loan toward machinery and equipment purchases.
