NEW YORK American Piping Products Inc. has acquired the assets of Ozark Tubular Products Inc.
"Ozark is the first of what I hope will be a number of highly targeted acquisitions. Our historic growth has been organic. However, acquisitions enable us to complement our internal growth efforts and provide our target markets with additional products, services and resources," American Piping Products chief operating officer and chief financial officer Matt Danis said.
The Chesterfield, Mo.-based company, which didnt reveal the terms of the deal, couldnt be reached for comment.
American Piping Products revenue increased to $185 million in 2012 from $63 million in 2009, according to its website.
Ellisville, Mo.-based Ozark is a distributor of alloy, large-diameter, stainless and carbon steel pipe, according to its website, while American Piping Products distributes carbon and chrome-molybdenum pipe, tubing, fittings and flanges from facilities in St. Louis, Houston, Philadelphia, Chicago and Baton Rouge, La.
