Keystone raises wire rod prices $30/T

NEW YORK — Keystone Steel & Wire Co. will increase its wire rod prices $30 per ton ($1.50 per hundredweight) with all shipments effective Dec. 2, the Peoria, Ill.-based company said in a letter to customers Nov. 7.

The move comes after Tampa, Fla.-based Gerdau Long Steel North America raised its wire rod prices $30 per ton Nov. 1 and Charlotte, N.C.-based Nucor Corp. increased its wire rod prices $20 per ton in late October (amm.com, Nov. 1) .
