NEW YORK AK
Steel Corp. is increasing base prices for select stainless
steel products effective Jan. 1, the company said Nov. 22.
Ohio-based AK Steel said the increase "will be achieved through
a discount reduction of 2 percentage points," and will affect
martensitic products, precipitation hardening products, tensile
rolled products, duplex products, bright annealed products and
custom melt products.
It did not specify the
value of the increase.
The company said its stainless steel raw material surcharges
will remain in effect.
