CHICAGO — Watson Metal Masters will break ground soon on a $4.8-million manufacturing plant in Republic, Mo., to increase production capacity for a growing customer base.

The Nixa, Mo.-based company fabricates stainless steel and nickel-alloy tanks for the food and beverage, health and beauty and pharmaceutical industries. Tanks built in house can contain up to 50,000 gallons, while on-site built tanks can hold up to 500,000 gallons.

The new plant should start up production in mid-2014.
