ArcelorMittal hikes wire rod $30/T

NEW YORK — ArcelorMittal Long Carbon North America has increased its wire rod price by $30 per ton ($1.50 per hundredweight) effective with shipments Jan. 1, the Chicago-based company announced in a Dec. 11 letter to customers.

Peoria, Ill.-based Keystone Steel & Wire Co., Tampa, Fla.-based Gerdau Long Steel North America and Charlotte, N.C.-based Nucor Corp. have all announced price increases on wire rod (, Dec. 13).
