CHICAGO — Service center Majestic Steel USA Inc. has completed the acquisition of Flatrolled Steel Inc., expanding its reach to the Southwest.

Cleveland-based Majestic "will make every effort to make this process (of integration) as seamless as possible," the company said in a notice to vendors.

Houston-based Flatrolled Steel, which also operates branches in Grand Prairie, Texas, and Catoosa, Okla., will be run under the Majestic Steel name. "We see this as an opportunity to expand our reach in the Southwest region while continuing to support the existing business," Majestic president Todd Leebow said.

Founded in 1979, Majestic Steel USA distributes prime flat-rolled steel sheet and coil, including galvanized, galvannealed, Galvalume, aluminized, cold-rolled and phosphatized/bonderized steel.

The company sells into such markets as heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), transportation equipment, farm equipment and storage units, appliance, construction, machinery, energy, electrical equipment, and metal fabrication and stamping.
