PITTSBURGH — The lockout at two PSC Metals Inc. units in Wooster, Ohio, has ended after workers and management reached a deal on a new contract Jan. 10.

Employees of the Mayfield Heights, Ohio-based company were anxious to return to work Jan. 13 and conceded to meet the recycler’s demands, one PSC Metals worker said.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

PSC Metals declined to comment.

About 10 employees at the company’s Wooster metals recycling yard and 23 employees at its Garn Trucking unit were locked out Dec. 31 after the two sides failed to reach a contract after nine months of negotiations (, Jan. 2).

Workers have voted to unionize with Teamsters Local 40 and are expected to be formally inducted into the labor group after the contract is ratified.
