NEW YORK — Allegheny Technologies Inc. (ATI) has named Kevin B. Kramer senior vice president and chief commercial and marketing officer, the specialty steel producer announced Jan. 28.

Kramer will "lead the alignment and coordination of ATI’s global commercial and marketing strategies across all business units" effective Feb. 3, the Pittsburgh-based company said in a statement.

ATI chairman, president and chief executive officer Richard J. Harshman described Kramer’s role as a "new corporate commercial and marketing leadership position ... focused on enhancing, developing and implementing global market development and commercial strategies across ATI’s businesses."

The company cited Kramer’s 30 years of business experience, including eight years with Pittsburgh-based Alcoa Inc., where he served as president of growth initiatives and president of wheel and transportation products.

Kramer also spent 21 years with Akron, Ohio-based Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., where he served as vice president of original equipment sales. He was most recently president of the wiring division at Warren, Ohio-based manufacturer Stoneridge Inc.
