NEW YORK — Brian J. Malloy has been named senior vice president and chief strategy officer of high-performance metal tubing manufacturers Superior Tube Co. Inc., Collegeville, Pa., and Fine Tubes Ltd., Plymouth, England.

Malloy was previously global vice president of commercial operations and strategy at aluminum producer Alcoa Inc.’s power, propulsion and forged products businesses, according to a statement by Lexington, Mass.-based Watermill Group, the parent of both companies (, Sept. 12, 2012).

Since acquiring the companies, Watermill has reduced lead times for “key products” by 60 percent and has expanded capacity, it said.
