NEW YORK — McNeilus Steel Inc. has installed a 0.500-inch cut-to-length line at the family operated full-line service center’s Fond du Lac, Wis., facility.

The line, supplied by Red Bud Industries Inc., Red Bud, Ill., can process coils measuring up to 72 inches wide with a maximum weight of 80,000 pounds. Special features include a heavy-gauge drop stacker capable of processing heavy-gauge sheet up to 480 inches long that mounts directly to a variable rake shear to fully support and neatly stack heavy-gauge material.
The line, the fourth stretcher leveling line McNeilus has installed from Red Bud Industries, can run in both start/stop mode. It joins two lines at the company’s headquarters location and service center in Dodge Center, Minn., and a line at its Fargo, N.D., facility.
