NEW YORK — ClarkWestern Dietrich Building Systems LLC has purchased the machinery, equipment and intellectual property necessary to produce the Trakloc cold-formed steel framing system.

The acquisition from Sacramento, Calif.-based TSF Systems LLC makes the company, commonly known as ClarkDietrich, the exclusive worldwide manufacturer of the patented family of products. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

Plans call for the entire line of products to be phased into ClarkDietrich’s manufacturing facility in Sacramento. The West Chester, Ohio-based company said it also has plans to expand its Trakloc production capabilities in several other plants in the United States to meet increased customer demand.

Designed for use in non-load-bearing interior partition walls in commercial construction, the Trakloc system features a telescoping stud that twists and locks into the top and bottom track without the use of mechanical fasteners. The patented feature allows contractors to adjust the length to accommodate variances in the slab, saving time and labor.
