PITTSBURGH — Trademark Metals Recycling LLC has purchased the assets of OneSteel Recycling Inc.’s Tampa operations as part of its plan to deepen its footprint in existing markets, the company said April 24.

Earlier this week, the Port of Tampa Bay authorized the wholly owned subsidiary of Cincinnati-based David J. Joseph Co. to assume the lease (, April 22).

"The addition of the OneSteel recycling facilities is consistent with Trademark Metals Recycling’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the Tampa region and demonstrates DJJ’s commitment to expanding its existing regional recycling platforms," the company said in a statement.

Trademark Metals already controls a scrap metal facility at the same port.

The sale includes the Tampa shredder operation and deepwater export site, and Florida locations in Clearwater, Hudson and Seffner. The deal lifts the number of Trademark Metals facilities to 30.
