PITTSBURGH — Sims Metal Management Ltd. is making more changes to its executive team as part of a strategic review of its operations, the company said June 5.

Chief financial officer Robert Larry has agreed to step down effective Aug. 21. He will stay with the company through the completion of the New York-based recycler’s fiscal 2014 financial results and will remain in a consulting capacity through August 2015.

"I am grateful for the opportunity this company provided to me. I have enjoyed immensely my tenure as chief financial officer and even the challenges that came along with it," Larry said in a press release. "The finance and information technology teams are outstanding and will accomplish this change in leadership seamlessly".

The company also confirmed that Robert A. Kelman will be relocating to the recycler’s operations in the United Kingdom (, May 28).

Kelman, who will be based in London, will assume the newly created role of managing director for European metals effective July 1. The U.K. unit’s operations director, Peter Bird, and commercial director, Paul Wright, will both report to Kelman.

Kelman will work with Sims Metal Management Group chief executive officer Galdino Claro to re-engineer the North America Metals unit.
