NEW YORK — The U.S. Commerce Department’s International Trade Administration (ITA) has postponed to Aug. 29 its preliminary decision in an anti-dumping investigation against imports of wire rod from China at the request of domestic petitioners, according to a filing.

The petitioners, which include Chicago-based ArcelorMittal USA LLC, Tampa, Fla.-based Gerdau Ameristeel US Inc. and Charlotte, N.C.-based Nucor Corp., requested the extension in early June to provide more time to analyze and comment on the questionnaire responses from Chinese exporters (, June 5).
