NEW YORK Nickel North Exploration Corp. has named Andrew Lee Smith as its interim president and chief executive officer effective June 26.
Smith replaces Phillip Mudry, who had held the posts since August 2012.
"It is expected that Mudry will continue to direct the exploration at the companys Hawk Ridge copper-nickel project in northern Quebec, pending the negotiation of a new consulting agreement for his services," Vancouver, British Columbia-based Nickel North said.
Smith is also president and chief executive officer of East Africa Metals Inc. and a director of True North Gems Inc., both in Vancouver.
Nickel North Exploration purchased the Hawk Ridge project in May 2013 (amm.com, May 2, 2013).
