SSR's Agentine lead project on track

The construction of SSR Mining’s project in Argentina, projected to produce more than 15,875 tonnes per year of lead metal, started in January with the first ore feed expected in the second half of 2018.

The first ores from the Chinchillas lead, silver and zinc project will be delivered to the nearby Pirquitas mill and concentrator, the Canada-based miner said.

Priority development activities have started, including initiating the earthworks projects at Chinchillas, releasing construction contracts and commencing construction activities at Pirquitas, as well as pioneering works for pre-stripping at the Chinchillas deposit, SSR spokeswoman Stacey Pavlova said.
