Brian O’Shaughnessy

Brian O’Shaughnessy is the Chairman, CEO & President of Revere Copper Products, Inc. His company was founded in 1801 by Paul Revere and may be the oldest manufacturing company in America. Revere does not make pots and pans anymore but makes copper and brass sheet, strip and coil products for shipment to other manufacturing companies. Brian did a leveraged buy out of Revere in 1989.

Brian is recognized as an expert on international trade, energy and environmental issues. He championed and chaired the world class, worldwide copper industry’s environmental program. In February of 2006, the Copper Club named Brian as its Copper Man of the Year---an international award considered the most prestigious in the copper industry.

Brian has chaired two industrial energy advocacy committees and serves on the board of directors of a third group. He also serves on the board of directors of a public utility with transmission and distribution operations for gas and electricity in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. In 2005, Brian testified before the US Senate Committee on Energy and Resources and testified in 2006 before the US House of Representatives Committee on Government Reform regarding energy, trade and tax policy. In May, 2007, he

testified before a triparte hearing on China Currency Issues before subcommittees of the House Ways and Means, Energy and Financial Services Committees. Brian has appeared on BBC World News and interviewed on Bloomberg On the Economy.

Brian also serves on the board of directors of the Manufacturers Association of Central New York (MACNY) and the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM). At NAM, Brian is on its International Economic Policy Committee and its China Policy Subcommittee. Brian is a past Chairman of the US Copper & Brass Fabricators Council and testified on its behalf before the International Trade Commission.

Brian is a national leader of domestic manufacturing companies attempting to change US international trade and tax policy to help level the playing field for domestic manufacturing.

Prior to joining Revere, Brian spent twenty-one years in the international copper mining industry with seven years each in operations, marketing & corporate administration.

Brian is celebrating 40 years of marriage with three sons and four grandchildren. In 2002, Mr. O’Shaughnessy rode his Harley Davidson on two-lane scenic roads from Moody Beach, Maine to Seattle, Washington stopping off in Sturgis, South Dakota. Mr. O’Shaughnessy is an avid snow-boarder and golfer but spends most of his time working!

Dr. Zhongbo Xu is the President of Beijing Metal Consulting Ltd. China.

He was the student of the University of Science and Technology Beijing from 1978 to 1984, and got the master degree in 1984. From 1985 to 1986 he was the assistant of the Institute of Steelmaking of the University of Science and Technology Beijing. From 1987 to 1992 he was assistant of the Institute for Ferrometallurgy of Technical University Aachen Germany (RWTH Aachen), and got PhD Degree in 1992. From 1993 to 1997, he was Vice Director of the Institute of Steelmaking of the University of Science and Technology Beijing. And from 1997 to 2001 ,Dr.Xu was Director of the Institute of steelmaking of the University of Science and Technology Beijing. Dr. Xu has been studying steel industry since 1987.

David “Skip” Hartquist is a Partner and Chairman of the Firm’s International Trade and Customs Practice Group. Mr. Hartquist has been recognized as a leading international trade lawyer by “Who’s Who Legal,” Lawdragons 500-“The Leading Lawyers in America,” and Chambers Global –“Leaders in Their Field.”

Prior Positions:

Before joining Kelley Drye Collier Shannon in 1976, Mr. Hartquist worked for President Ford as General Counsel of the White House Council on International Economic Policy. In that capacity, he worked on a wide range of international economic issues, including trade, finance, energy and agriculture. In 1973 and 1974, Mr. Hartquist was Assistant to the President, Overseas Private Investment Corporation. OPIC is an agency of the United States government that provides political risk insurance to private U.S corporations that invest in developing countries. From 1970 to 1973, Mr. Hartquist was Legislative Assistant to United States Senator Richard S. Schweiker (R-PA). He had general responsibility for legislative staff in the Senator's office. Mr. Hartquist began his legal career as Assistant Counsel to Bank of America in Los Angeles, and as Assistant Washington Representative in Washington, D.C.

Alan H. Price has more than twenty years experience prosecuting antidumping, countervailing duty and Section 201 investigations for a variety of Fortune 500 corporations including Nucor Corporation, Eastman Kodak, and Rockwell International.

Mr. Price specializes in representing domestic industries and handling complex matters that combine legal, government relations, and public relations components. He has filed trade cases covering virtually every type of steel product, as well as cases against imports of photographic paper, newspaper printing presses, and hand tools.

He is an authority on China subsidies issues and is an author of The China Syndrome: How Subsidies and Government Intervention Created the World’s Largest Steel Industry and Money for Metal: A Detailed Examination of Chinese Government Subsidies to its Steel Industry.

Andrew G. Sharkey is president and chief executive officer of the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), a non-profit association of North American companies engaged in the iron and steel industry. Since joining AISI in August 1993, Mr. Sharkey has focused the Institute on its mission to promote steel as the material of choice and to enhance the competitiveness of its members and the North American steel industry.

Prior to AISI, Mr. Sharkey served for twelve years as the president of the Cleveland-based Steel Service Center Institute (SSCI), representing the North American steel service center industry.

Mr. Sharkey is a member of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) Council of Manufacturing Associations, the U.S. Chamber Committee of 100 and the Key Industries Association Committee (KIAC) of the American Society of Association Executives.

A native of Pittsburgh, Mr. Sharkey received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Yale University in 1968 and a Master of Arts degree from Duquesne University in 1970.

Mr. Sharkey and his wife, Debbie, reside in Great Falls, Virginia.
