Jack Wells
Chief Economist, U.S. Department of Transportation

John V. (“Jack”) Wells has been the Chief Economist at the U.S. Department of Transportation since November 2004. His major areas of focus have been on

• Finding ways to use the transportation system more efficiently (for example, through congestion pricing and ITS technologies)

• Finding ways to invest more efficiently in expanded transportation capacity, such as high-speed rail

• Finding ways to tap new sources of transportation infrastructure finance, such as a National Infrastructure Bank.

He has previously served as

• Chief Economist at the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (2001-2004)

• Deputy Administrator of the Federal Railroad Administration (2000 – 2001),

• Minority Staff Director of the House Subcommittee on Railroads (1995 – 2000)

• Staff Director of the Subcommittee on Investigations and Oversight of the House Public Works and Transportation Committee (1993 – 1995).

From 1979 to 1993 he was an economist at the U.S. General Accounting Office, working on a wide range of issues in transportation, regulation, and science and technology policy.

From 1975 to 1979 Mr. Wells was Assistant Professor of Economics at George Mason University.

Mr. Wells has a B.A. from Harvard and a Ph.D. from Yale, both in Economics.

Michael B. White
Director of Programs, Great Lakes & Ohio River Division, US Army Corps of Engineers

Michael B. White, Senior Executive Service, serves as Director of Programs in the Great Lakes & Ohio River Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. In this position, he provides overall direction of the civil works, planning and policy, and operation and maintenance of civil works projects within the division. He exercises program leadership and direction for navigation, hydropower, natural resource management, recreation management and flood damage reduction activities.

Mr. White was selected to the Senior Executive Service in June 1998. In August 2005, he came to the division from the Corps’ headquarters office where he was the Chief, Operations Division, Directorate of Civil Works. Prior to that, he served as Director of Civil Works Management for the Corps Northwestern Division in Portland, Oregon. Previous assignments included serving as Acting Director of Programs Management for the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Chief of the Civil Works Program Management Division, Senior Program Manager for Civil Works, and Chief of the Military Programs Division in the Ohio River Division.

Robert DiCianni
Manager – Marketing & Analysis, ArcelorMittal USA

Robert DiCianni is a Manager in the Marketing Office of ArcelorMittal USA, located in Chicago, Illinois. In this capacity he is involved in economic analysis and forecasting for key steel markets, market research for future steel needs, and market strategy development. He is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank’s Industrial Roundtable and is a regular contributor to the Fed’s Beige Book report. He has 30 years of experience in the steel industry and has worked in the US and Europe. He started with Inland Steel Co. in Chicago in 1979 and lived through its various changes to become ArcelorMittal. He has undergraduate and graduate degrees from Loyola University of Chicago.

David C. Jeanes
President, Steel Market Development Institute

David Jeanes is president of AISI’s Steel Market Development Institute (SMDI). The SMDI advances the use of steel through market-driven strategies that promote cost-effective solutions in the marketplace, focusing on the automotive, construction and container markets, as well as on new-growth opportunities in non-traditional steel markets. The SMDI scope also encompasses value-added long products and steel recycling.

Jeanes is responsible for developing and implementing an industry-wide strategic plan to advance the competitive use of North American steel in the marketplace. Jeanes spearheaded the development and implementation of the Market Development Strategic Plan, which provides an aggressive approach to pro-competitive collaboration between steel producers and customers to deliver steel-intensive solutions to the marketplace. Results from the SMDI/customer partnership have resulted in achievements such as the UltraLight Steel Auto Body, a steel-intensive vehicle body-in-white that is durable yet lightweight and improves fuel efficiency.

Jeanes’ professional career has concentrated on management, engineering, marketing research and construction. Since joining AISI in 1976, he has held positions as Director of Construction Codes and Standards; Manager of Engineering Operations; Research Associate at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST); Senior Engineer; and Codes and Standards Engineer. He served as Senior Vice President, Market Development before assuming his current position.

He was instrumental in the establishment of work plans leading to the formation of the Steel Framing Alliance, the Metal Roofing Alliance, the National Steel Bridge Alliance, the Auto/Steel Partnership, the Canned Food Alliance and the Steel Recycling Institute. He has served on the boards of directors for the Steel Construction Roundtable, National Steel Bridge Alliance, American Society for Testing and Materials, and the Steel Recycling Institute. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, Society of American Military Engineers, and the Tau Beta Pi National Engineering Society.

Jeanes is a licensed Professional Engineer. He received his education at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in civil engineering (cum laude), the Wentworth Institute of Technology in architectural engineering, and the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in engineering administration.

Prior to joining AISI, Jeanes worked as a structural engineer and construction project manager. He served as an officer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where he was active in facilities planning, design and construction. He is a decorated Vietnam veteran.

Ken Simonson
Chief Economist, AGC (The Associated General Contractors of America)

Ken Simonson joined AGC of America on September 10, 2001. Ever since Day 2 he has provided insight into the economy and what it implies for construction and related industries.

Ken’s weekly one-page email newsletter for AGC, The Data DIGest, provides 10,000 readers with the latest economic news relevant to construction. He also sends out a variety of state-specific information. He is interviewed and quoted almost daily by local and national media, including The Wall Street Journal, USA Today and CNBC. In addition, he contributes frequently to a variety of business and professional publications and conferences.

Ken has 35 years of experience analyzing, advocating and communicating about economic and tax issues. Before joining AGC, he was senior economic advisor in the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy. Earlier, he was vice president and chief economist for the American Trucking Associations. He also worked with the President’s Commission on Industrial Competitiveness, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Federal Home Loan Bank Board, and an economic consulting firm.

Ken served on the Blue Ribbon Panel of experts advising the National Surface Transportation Policy and Revenue Study Commission. Ken is a board member of the National Tax Association and is active in the National Association for Business Economics (NABE). Since 1982, he has co-chaired the Tax Economists Forum, a professional meeting group he co-founded for leading researchers and policy makers among tax economists. He is also a board member of Community Tax Aid, an organization that prepares returns for free for low-income taxpayers, and the Jewish Council for the Aging of Greater Washington.

Ken has a BA in economics from the University of Chicago, an MA in economics from Northwestern University, and has taken advanced graduate economics courses at the Université de Paris, Johns Hopkins and Georgetown.

William A. Strauss
Senior Economist, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago

William A. Strauss is a senior economist and economic advisor in the economic research department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, which he joined in 1982. His chief responsibilities include analyzing the current performance of both the Midwest economy and the manufacturing sector for use in monetary policy. He also produces the monthly Chicago Fed Midwest Manufacturing Index and organizes the Bank's annual Economic Outlook Symposium and annual Auto Outlook Symposium. He also conducts several economic workshops and industrial roundtables throughout the year.

Strauss has taught as an adjunct faculty member at both Loyola University Chicago and Webster University, Chicago. He currently teaches at the University of Chicago, Graham School of General Studies and at DePaul University, Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.

His research paper topics include analysis of the manufacturing sector, the auto sector, the Midwest regional economy, the trade-weighted dollar, business cycles and Federal Reserve payments operations.

Strauss has been interviewed on numerous television and radio shows and quoted in the major business magazines and newspapers. He is a past president of the Chicago Association of Business Economists and currently serves as a board member for the National Association for Business Economics and as a member of the Advisory Council for the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Center for Economic Education.

Strauss earned a B.A. in economics and geography from the State University of New York at Buffalo and an M.A. in economics from Northwestern University.

Vince Pappalardo
Managing Director, Dresner Partners, Investment Banking

Mr. Pappalardo is a Managing Director at Dresner Partners, and heads the firm’s metals practice. In that capacity, he focuses on the production and distribution of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys, as well as on diversified industrial sectors. Mr. Pappalardo has extensive experience with mergers and acquisitions on both the buyside and sellside in domestic as well as international transactions. Additionally, he has advised clients in the private placement of debt and equity, enterprise valuations, solvency and fairness opinions and financial restructuring transactions.

Mr. Pappalardo has spoken as a metals industry expert for American Metals Market (AMM), Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI), and the Metal Service Center Institute (MSCI) and the Turnaround Management Association (TMA).

Prior to joining Dresner Partners, Mr. Pappalardo led projects in Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin‘s Basic Industrial Group, focusing on the metals and industrials sectors and advising public and private clients on transactions ranging in size from $50 million to $500 million. During his 11-year tenure, he worked primarily in mergers and acquisitions, as well as other practice areas including ESOP valuations, financial opinions, and restructuring.

Previously, Mr. Pappalardo held the position of a Second Vice President in the corporate finance division for NBD Bank, where he assisted middle-market companies with business planning, derivatives and bond issuances.

Mr. Pappalardo has an M.B.A. in Finance and Business Policy, University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a B.S. Finance, University of Illinois.

Roger Ferch
President, AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction)

Roger E. Ferch has been active in the steel construction industry for over 40 years. While still in college, Roger began his career with the Leckenby Company, a Seattle fabricator, in 1966. After college, he spent four years with the United States Navy as an officer in the Civil Engineering Corps before moving to the Herrick Corporation in 1974. Roger’s education includes an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a licensed Civil Engineer in California.

Most of Roger’s career was spent with the Herrick Corporation in Northern California which is the largest structural steel fabricator and erector on the west coast. Roger joined Herrick in 1974 and supervised many different departments over his 30 years with the company. He was promoted to Vice President in 1989 and was responsible for the administration of the overall purchasing and engineering departments and managing special projects. Some of his noteworthy buildings include the Boeing 777 Assembly building, the San Francisco Airport International terminal, and the Frank Gehry designed Walt Disney Concert Hall.

In December 2005 he became President the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). He previously served on the AISC Board of Directors from 1998 to 2005 and as Vice Chairman of the AISC Specification Committee. He was a member of the Board Executive Committee and was the oversight director for the AISC Engineering Department.

He lives in Lake Forest, Illinois, and is married with two children, one an attorney and the other a college sophomore. He enjoys skiing, reading, and traveling.

Stan Hasselbusch
President & CEO, L.B. Foster

Stan L. Hasselbusch is President and CEO of Pittsburgh PA based L.B. Foster Company. L.B. Foster Company is a leading manufacturer, fabricator and distributor of products for rail, construction, utility and energy industries and provides engineered solutions for North America’s infrastructure.

Born and raised in Iowa, Stan graduated from the University of Dubuque with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration in 1970. Stan has spent his entire career working for L.B. Foster. He started with the company as a sales trainee and steadily progressed through a number of sales, sales management and product management functions in various L.B. Foster district sales offices. He moved to Pittsburgh in 1993 as National Sales Manager before becoming Sr. Vice President -- Construction Products in 1995. He advanced to Sr. Vice President – Construction and Tubular Products in 1996, a position he held until 1998 when he was named Executive Vice President and COO. He became President and COO of L.B. Foster in 2000. Two years later he was named President and CEO.

Stan resides in Wexford with his wife Patti. He has three children, Erich, Kevin and Ana.

Stan enjoys hiking, biking and playing basketball with his children. He is also active in the community as a member of the Board of Directors for ABOARD and is involved with Pittsburgh Care and the United Way Leadership Giving Committee.

Patrick McFadden
Director, Government Affairs, Nucor Corporation

Patrick McFadden took over Nucor’s Government Affairs in 2007. In his current assignment Pat is responsible for Nucor’s Federal and State lobbying efforts, media relations, as well as Nucor’s public policy in Washington, DC. Pat reports directly to Nucor’s CEO, Dan DiMicco.

Prior to this assignment, Pat led Nucor’s commercial activities for plate products at Nucor’s mills in Hertford County, NC and Tuscaloosa, AL. Pat developed Nucor’s strategy for entrance into these markets and developed distribution networks across the USA for these products.

Pat McFadden has worked in the steel industry for 23 years. Prior to his tenure at Nucor, Pat worked for various steel companies and ran his own steel trading business in Savannah, Georgia.

Pat McFadden holds a BA in Philosophy and an MBA. Pat currently serves as an official Advisor for International Trade to the Commerce Department. Pat also is a member of the American Iron and Steel Institute where he is vice chair of the Council for US Producers and chair of Strategic Communications Council. Pat also serves at the Steel Manufacturers Association and is a registered Federal Lobbyist.

Corinna Petry
Steel Correspondent, American Metal Market

Corinna Petry is a steel correspondent for American Metal Market, and has covered the metals industry for most of the past 13 years. She joined AMM in 1995 as a steel reporter and then joined Metal Center News magazine in 1998 as managing editor, where she remained through October 2005. She spent two years covering the banking and credit markets for Sourcemedia Inc. in Chicago, then rejoined AMM in June 2008.

She has her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois

Kenyon Gleason is the national field director for the American Road and Transportation Builders Association. In this capacity, he is involved in membership development, service and outreach, fundraising and grassroots political action activities. Gleason also serves as the managing director of ARTBA’s Transportation Officials Division, comprised of government officials from around the country. He is also the executive director of ARTBA’s Ports and Waterways Advisory Council.

Prior to joining ARTBA, Gleason held positions as director of media and public relations for Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D., director of communications at the University of South Dakota and a communications director for a leading ethanol fuels company.

He has also been active in statewide politics, serving as coalition director for the GOP Victory Office in the 2002 national elections. He is an award-winning journalist and has worked in television, radio and print newsrooms across the upper Midwest. Gleason has over 16 years of media, communications, government relations and political experience.

Gleason was elected to an at-large seat on the Sioux Falls (S.D.) City Council in 2000, serving four years, one as council chairman. During his service he was also a member of the board of directors for the South Eastern Council of Governments (SECOG), the planning and development district that serves the southeastern region of South Dakota. In addition, he was a member of SECOG’s Urbanized Development Commission, which serves as the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the Sioux Falls regional area.

A North Dakota native, Gleason is a graduate of St. Cloud State University in Minnesota and holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications.

Gleason and his wife have five sons.

In his role as Associate Director for Finance and Business Development at AASHTO, Joung Lee reviews surface transportation policy and legislative matters with the State DOTs, Executive branch, and Congressional staff. He also examines highway and transit funding scenarios, evaluates options and proposals for innovative financing of federal highway projects, works with capital market representatives to facilitate capital project funding, and delivers funding and financing presentations to interested parties.

Joung also serves as Deputy Director of the AASHTO Center for Excellence in Project Finance, which provides support to State transportation departments in the development of finance plans and project oversight tools and to develop and offer training in state-of-the-art financing methods to advance projects and leverage funds. In addition, he is the founder and Chair of Young Professionals in Transportation, a national networking association based in Washington, DC.

His prior positions include transportation planner and analyst positions with the Federal Highway Administration Headquarters and Division Offices in Connecticut and New Jersey, and assignments at the Federal Transit Administration, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission in California, and the Office of the Secretary of Transportation.

He holds a Bachelor of Urban and Environmental Planning degree from the University of Virginia and a Master of Governmental Administration degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Jim McMinimee
Director of Project Development, Utah Department of Transportation

Jim is currently the Director of Project Development at the Utah Department of Transportation. Jim has been with UDOT for 22 years. The Project Development Division at UDOT is Design Construction, Right of Way, Environmental, Structures, Engineering Services and Research. Jim and Project Development have been a part of many of the innovative initiatives UDOT has undertaken. Since 2002 UDOT has implemented Design-Build and Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) contracting, Accelerated Bridge Construction, implementation of the Transportation Technician program and implementation of the GPS Network. The Project Development Division is also responsible for engineering policy and business strategy for the Department.

Project Development oversees statewide policies and procedures for Project Management. One of the significant initiatives in Project Management is the implementation of Innovative Contracting. Innovative Contracting includes Design Build and CMGC. UDOT has contracted approximately 25 Design Build projects and approximately 20 CMGC projects.

During his career Jim and his teams have received numerous awards. Three examples are the Utah Governor’s Award for Quality Customer Service, the Utah Research Advisory Council’s Trailblazer Award for Lifetime Research Implementation, the 2007 AASHTO President’s Award for Research implementation on Accelerated Bridge Construction and most recently the 2008 AASHTO President’s Award for implementing Self Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMT’s).

Before coming to Project Development in 2001, Jim served as the Region Two Director in Salt Lake City for six years. During Jim’s administration, Region Two completed the I-15 design-build reconstruction and also completed the construction and staffing of the Traffic Operations Center. He also served as the Director of Olympic Operations during the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City. Additionally, Jim has over 10 years combined experience in Materials and Central Maintenance Operations at UDOT.

Jim received his BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Utah and is a licensed PE with the State of Utah.

Robert J. Risser is currently President and CEO of the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute, a position he has held since 2006.

Mr. Risser has more than 20 years experience in the concrete industry. Prior to joining CRSI, he served for more than 10 years as Executive Director of the Michigan Concrete Paving Association.

He also as Engineering Editor with the Aberdeen Group, publisher of Concrete Construction and sponsor of the World of Concrete trade shows.

Mr. Risser also spent five years with the American Concrete Pavement Association as Director of Engineering Design and Director of Market Development – Airports/Training.

A registered Professional Engineer, Risser received both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of Illinois.

He currently serves on the ACI Board Advisory Committee on Sustainability, and on the Executive Board of the National Center for Concrete Pavement Technology. He has serves as the Chairman of the American Concrete Pavement Association’s Chapter/State Association Division and on ACPA’s Board of Director and Executive Committee. He served 6 years as secretary to TRB Committee A2F01 “Portland Cement Concrete Pavement Construction,” and as Chairman of ACI Committee 320-11, “Accelerated Concrete Paving.”

Founded in 1924, the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI) is a trade association that stands as the authoritative resource for information related to steel reinforced concrete construction. Serving the needs of architects, engineers and construction professionals, CRSI offers many technical publications, design aids, software programs, educational seminars, promotional activities, membership function and design award programs. CRSI members are manufacturers, fabricators and placers of steel reinforcing bar and related products, and professionals who are involved in the research, design and construction of reinforced concrete. CRSI producer members represent more than 90% of U.S. domestic reinforcing steel production. CRSI fabricator members represent more than 80% of fabricated tonnage in the U.S.

Peter G. Allen

Peter Allen works on behalf of clients to pursue comprehensive and creative solutions to their government relations needs. The bulk of his practice is focused on achieving client objectives through innovative grassroots outreach programs that seek to build solid constituencies of supporters from the ground up.

Michelle Applebaum

Ms. Applebaum spent over 20 years at Salomon Brothers, in New York and Chicago. During her years on Wall Street, Ms. Applebaum was the top-rated steel industry analyst according to the prestigious Institutional Investor All-Star poll for a dozen years. During that time she served as an

advisor to the country’s largest money managers and worked as part of the investment banking team advising corporations on over 2-dozen initial and secondary public offerings, mergers and acquisitions.

Ms. Applebaum is regularly quoted in publications such as The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. She makes frequent appearances on business programs of CNN and CNBC, and was a featured guest on Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser.

Ms. Applebaum has a BS in Economics from Northwestern University and a MBA in Accounting and Finance from the Kellogg School of Business.

She currently lives in Chicago with her husband, 3 children and 2 dogs.

Jim Barnett
President, Grand Steel Products, Inc.

James Barnett has been in the steel distribution industry for over 40 years. Starting in his teens as a USW member at Republic Steel Corporation, Barnett has held various staff positions in production and sales at several steel distributorships in the Detroit area. After graduating from The Defiance College with a B.S. in Business, Barnett attended Graduate school only to be interrupted by a stint in the Army during the Vietnam era. After serving his country, he joined his brother Stuart in establishing Lawndale Steel Corporation , a multi-plant flat-rolled steel distribution business headquartered in Chicago, IL. When the Detroit Division of Lawndale was acquired by Heidtman Steel Products in 1989, Barnett established and ran a Tandem Rolled Products Division of Heidtman for 5 years before starting Grand Steel Products, Inc. in 1995. This business was founded as Internet transactions were just starting to help transform business in the steel industry. Seizing on the new “transparency” in the industry and decades in steel distribution, Grand Steel quickly grew in size and today distributes flat rolled products all over North America. In December of 2008, Grand Steel moved into their current warehouse /office facility in Wixom, MI.

Barnett is also Executive Vice President of The Association of Steel Distributors, a national trade organization of 125 member Companies that consist of Steel Mills, Distributors, Service Centers, Processors and others who use this Association as a networking platform to expand and enhance member businesses. He also is on the Executive Committee and is Chairman of the long-range planning committee. He has also been a guest speaker at meetings of other associations within the Steel community and has been quoted in several articles appearing in National and International periodicals.

John Nolan, Vice President and General Manager of Steel Dynamics’ Structural and Rail Division, earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Lafayette College in 1973. John joined the Bethlehem Steel Corporation immediately upon graduation, and served Bethlehem and the former Inland Steel Company in a variety of technical, operations, and commercial positions during the next eighteen (18) years. John departed Inland in 1991 to join an Ohio-based holding company specializing in the acquisition and turnaround of metal working properties as senior manager for sales and purchasing.

John joined SDI late in 1994 as Manager of Sales and Marketing and developed SDI’s commercial organization, commercial models, and customer base. Following his promotion in January 1997 as Vice President, John led SDI’s business initiatives in East Asia as well as its e-business strategies. Today, John has P & L responsibility for an SDI business unit exceeding one (1) billion dollars in revenue, and actively lobbies the Bush Administration and Congress for trade policies that support U.S. manufacturers and comply with existing U.S. trade laws.

In July of 2003, John was appointed to serve on USTR/DoC Industry Sector Advisory Committee (ISAC) No. 7 – “Ferrous Metals and Ores” by then U.S. Commerce Secretary Donald Evans and then U.S. Trade Representative Dr. Robert Zoellick. Kim Fields is the Industrial Commercial Director for GE Energy Infrastructure. Along with her global team of applications engineers, sales, and marketing professionals, Kim leads GE’s commercial strategy and manages technical programs designed to deliver enterprise solutions for food & beverage, metal and chemical customers.

Kim has more than 15 years experience in both operations and commercial roles across a variety of industrial activities – from Green Buildings, renewable energy and clean water to residential aluminum building and construction to paper, consumer products and telecom.

Prior to GE, Kim served as the Global Green Infrastructure Marketing Director for Alcoa where she was responsible for defining company strategy, product offerings and R&D initiatives. Previous roles at Alcoa included, Manager, Strategic Planning and Growth, and a general management role involving P&L responsibility for Alcoa Extruded Construction Products, a $50 million business. Kim also worked for the Boston Consulting Group, followed by a position on the Metal Spectrum, LLC leadership team, where she played a key role in the creation and launch of the metals industry’s B2B e-commerce business serving as VP, Business Development and Strategy. Kim’s career began with Owens Corning, where she held engineering positions in the glass melting, fiber forming and fabrication areas.

Kim holds a BS in Ceramic Engineering from the University of Illinois, and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. She and her son currently reside in Chicago, Illinois.

Sal Miraglia
President – Steel, The Timken Company

Salvatore J. Miraglia, Jr. is president of the Steel Group at The Timken Company and an officer of the company.

Since his appointment in August 2005, Miraglia has led the Steel Group during both a prolonged period of record-setting production, shipments and profitability as well as a more recent restructuring to align with changing market conditions.

After the restructuring was completed in early 2009, the Group is focused on customers and markets rather than products. Three front-end business units respond to customer needs in specific market sectors. The industrial unit serves customers primarily in the power transmission, bearings, construction equipment, industrial machinery, wind energy and distribution markets. The mobile on-highway unit serves manufacturers of passenger cars, and light, medium and heavy trucks. The oil and gas unit provides products primarily for well drilling and completion.

Miraglia previously served as senior vice president of technology, group vice president of industrial and super precision bearings in North America and director of manufacturing in Europe, Africa and West Asia. He also has held the positions of vice president and director of steel manufacturing, and a variety of roles in research and purchasing. Miraglia joined the company in 1972.

A member of the American Society of Professional Engineers, the American Institute of Metallurgical Engineers and the American Society for Metals, Miraglia also serves on the president’s council of the Manufacturers Alliance/MAPI. He is a member of the Ohio Aerospace Institute Board of Trustees and was appointed to the Ohio Steel Industry Advisory Council for a term ending in 2009.

Miraglia holds a bachelor’s degree in metallurgy and material science from Lehigh University and a master’s degree in metallurgy and material science from Case Western Reserve University. He also has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University.

Angie Storozynski

Angie Storozynski joined Macquarie Capital (USA) in December 2007 to head the US utilities equity research team, which currently covers 24 electric utilities, power companies and water utilities. Prior to Macquarie, she was with HSBC Capital (USA) and covered US electric utilities for three years. Prior to that, for four years she worked at ING Barings in the corporate finance department covering European electric utilities and telecoms. She began her career at PriwaterhouseCoopers and specialized in due diligence of electric utilities and telecoms.

Dan Mecklenborg received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Dayton and his Juris Doctor degree from Salmon P. Chase College of Law. He joined the legal staff of The Ohio River Company, a Cincinnati-based barge transportation company, in 1981, as Staff Counsel and was named Associate General Counsel in 1991.

In 1996, Dan joined Ingram Barge Company as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary and was promoted to Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Chief Legal Officer in 2002. Dan assumed responsibility for the company's Planning and Analysis function in 2005, in addition to his other responsibilities.

Dan has been actively involved in civic and professional organizations throughout his career. In 2003, he completed a four-year term as a Member and then Chairman of the Inland Waterways Users Board. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Waterways Council, Inc. and MARC 2000, through which Dan is active in working to preserve and modernize the nation's inland navigation system.

Glen Nekvasil
Secretary / Vice President - Corporate Communications, Great Lakes Maritime Task Force / Lake Carriers' Association

Glen G. Nekvasil has been Secretary of Great Lakes Maritime Task Force since its founding in 1991. GLMTF is the largest coalition ever to promote waterborne commerce on the Great Lakes.

Nekvasil is also Vice President - Corporate Communications for Lake Carriers' Association, the trade association representing U.S.-Flag vessel operators on the Great Lakes. He joined LCA in 1983. His maritime career on the Great Lakes dates back to 1976, when he joined Pickands Mather & Co., then the operator of The Interlake Steamship Company.

Nekvasil also serves as Director of Media Relations for the Maritime Cabotage Task Force, the Washington, DC-based coalition that protects the Jones Act and other U.S. maritime cabotage laws.

Nekvasil received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA.
