Introduction to the conference:
Metal Bulletin Events is delighted to announce that it will be launching its inaugural Asian nickel conference in the vibrant city of Jakarta, Indonesia. Given its prominence as a leading nickel exporter and the impending curtailment on nickel exports, Indonesia is the ideal place to discuss the key issues facing the nickel industry in the Asian region
As the Indonesian ban is set to take place next year, there is increasing anticipation over its impact on the nickel market. When will the ban take place? What will be its tangible effect on the region and Chinese consumption of the ore?
The conference will address these questions as well as discussing the regional market issues including nickel?s continuing overcapacity, the shift from sulphide to laterite ore production, new technological developments for laterite processing, the continuing impact of NPI production and the outlook from downstream demand.
The LME workshop: Correlation and how to measure it
