Optional visit to KME's Serravalle Plant Monday March 10
Founded in 1886 as SMI - Società Metallurgica Italiana, KME is today a pan-European industrial group and a major user of copper. Headquartered in Florence, Italy, KME produces 485,000 tonnes per year of copper and copper alloy semi-finished products at its 13 production sites in Europe and China.
In the Serravalle plant, one of KMEs two plants in Italy with that of Fornaci di Barga, KME produces a range of brass rods, industrial and sanitary tubes and pipes. Delegates will depart from the conference hotel during the morning of March 10th for a tour of the foundry and brass rod plant. After lunch, hosted by KME, they will return to Milan in the afternoon in time for conference registration and the welcome reception.
