Steel Dynamics Inc. (SDI) is scheduling brief outages at several of its mills next month to bring up new equipment or conduct routine maintenance.

The longest outage, at two weeks, will occur at SDI's Roanoke Bar Division in Roanoke, Va., where the Fort Wayne, Ind.-based mini-mill producer of flat-rolled and long products will install and tie in a new baghouse to the electric-arc furnace melt shop. That is tentatively scheduled for November.
